JACKfm Becomes an Official Media Partner and Award Sponsor

9 December, Oxford: Oxfordshire’s JACKfm has become an official partner of the Oxfordshire Business Awards (OXBA), which were established 26 years ago to recognize, reward and promote the excellence of Oxfordshire-based companies. As well as being an official partner JACKfm, which is part of JACK Media, an independent group of radio stations based in Oxfordshire, is also sponsoring the Outstanding Visitor Experience award category, which was won by Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens in 2019, the last time the Awards took place.

Supported by 13 of the county’s leading organisations, the Awards are firmly established as a benchmark for excellence in today’s competitive business environment. There are 14 categories now open for entry, with business urged to enter online at Oxfordshirebusinessawards.co.uk, where full entry criteria and supporting information can be found.

Caroline O’Connor, Group Marketing Manager at JACK Media, said: “As a radio group that was founded and which resides in Oxfordshire, supporting businesses and individuals within the region is an essential part of our DNA. Through our partnership with OXBA, we are delighted to play a role in this important event, which recognizes the individuals and organisations who make Oxfordshire such an exciting and inspiring county to be a part of. We can’t wait to see the entries!”

OXBA Chairman Paul Lowe commented: “For 26 years, OXBA has championed businesses and individuals who have made a positive impact in Oxfordshire. Winning an OXBA brings genuine recognition and acknowledgement among peers – therefore we would urge businesses to consider entering these prestigious awards.”

JACKfm has always played an important role within the Oxfordshire community, and it remains the most awarded local commercial radio station in UK radio history, having received over 40 industry commendations. As well as shining a light on some of the county’s exciting homegrown talent and providing a local output that is genuinely local, partnerships have been established with organisations and charities including Ronald McDonald House Oxford, Twin Town Challenge, Oxford FC and more.

The closing date for entries into the Oxfordshire Business Awards is 4 March 2022, with the Awards Dinner taking place on 17 June 2022. Full details and award categories can be found online at Oxfordshirebusinessawards.co.uk.
